Product Manager

Scale Biosciences, Inc. We are seeking a Product Manager to manage the on-market life cycle and strategic expansion of ScaleBio’s innovative Single Cell RNA Sequencing product line. In this role you will be responsible for exploring and evaluating new directions for the product line by identifying unmet customer needs and translating those into defined product concepts and requirements through development to product launch. A self-starter attitude and technical curiosity will be key for this role.

• Serve as primary customer advocate during product development; define product and market requirements and drive tradeoff decisions.
• Contribute to the on-going development of the product vision and strategy. Synthesize ideas on strategy, planning and execution into the next generation of products.
• Collect and socialize voice-of-customer input for product and user requirement definition via frequent interactions with customers and our field organization.
• Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong business case to drive development decisions and drive consensus among stakeholders.
• Design and implement effective forecast models for product demand globally and regionally.
• Manage supply and demand efforts and contribute to new product onboarding processes with external partners.
• Define product value propositions, positioning, and pricing, developed from routine customer and field team interactions.
• Work across the commercial organization as a subject matter expert to support the development of various collateral and product literature to support commercial objectives.
• Engage with key opinion leaders to promote ScaleBio products and support commercial activities at conferences and webinars.
• Drive a high level of interaction and engagement across functional groups to ensure coordination of activities and alignment on common goals.
• Provides sales support and training to worldwide Sales and Support Teams, and Distributors for the Single Cell RNA Sequencing product line.
• Support continuous surveillance of the competitive landscape and translation of learnings to the organization.

• Degree in Life Sciences, advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the Life Sciences industry, with at least 3 years of Product Management/Marketing experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of genomics and next generation sequencing, single cell sequencing experience preferred.
• Must have experience in customer interactions in either a Product Management, Sales, Business Development, or Marketing function.
• Demonstrated ability to develop long-term product strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to influence across the organization without authority.
• Comfortable with a high-paced, rapidly changing start-up environment.
• Proficient written, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Willing to travel up to 25%.

Below is the salary range for this full time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one’s skills, qualifications, and experience. 

Base Salary Range - $140,000 - $175,000 USD
