The Huntsville facility serves as Duravent's flagship plant, representing the pinnacle of our manufacturing operations. Significant investments in state-of-the-art equipment and top-tier personnel have positioned this facility as the cornerstone of our growth and innovation strategy.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to oversee our flagship manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations leadership within the metal fabrication industry, specifically in stamping, bending, welding, and painting processes. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Plant Manager will be responsible for all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality, safety, and cost efficiency, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Huntsville manufacturing facility, ensuring production goals are met on time and within budget.
    • Manage all production processes, including metal stamping, bending, welding, and painting, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.
    • Leverage recent equipment investments to maximize productivity and product quality, maintaining the plant's flagship status.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of department managers, supervisors, and production staff to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    • Recruit, retain, and train top talent to ensure the plant remains at the forefront of industry standards.
    • Promote a safety-first culture by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  3. Strategic Oversight:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to align plant objectives with company goals and strategic initiatives.
    • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor plant performance and drive decisions that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Customer and Quality Focus:
    • Ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, consistency, and delivery timelines.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality management systems to maintain compliance with ISO standards.
  5. Financial and Resource Management:
    • Manage the plant budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control measures.
    • Support capital investment projects, ensuring successful implementation of new equipment and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, preferably in metal fabrication or HVAC components.
    • Proven experience managing operations in a flagship facility or leading a plant with significant capital investments.
    • Expertise in manufacturing processes, including metal stamping, bending, welding, and painting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
    • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
