Quality Auditor

The Quality Assurance Auditor plays a critical role in maintaining product quality by conducting inline audits, verifying inspection setups, and ensuring compliance with customer-agreed standards. This position requires strong analytical skills to identify and resolve quality issues, attention to detail to audit inspection processes effectively, and decisiveness to make disposition decisions for products. Key competencies include a thorough understanding of quality standards, strong communication skills to provide feedback and collaborate with engineering teams, and the ability to follow and improve processes.


Quality Auditor Responsibilities -
  • Conduct inline audits on inspected products according to the manufacturing schedule and provide immediate feedback to resolve accept/reject questions.
  • Audit accumulated products and make appropriate disposition decisions.
  • Address spoils and questionable products during the inline auditing process, using approved standards and inspection instructions. Contact quality engineering if necessary standards or instructions are unavailable.
  • Ensure standard books are up-to-date, only containing approved parts, and are in good condition.
  • Address gaps in inspection tools, such as samples, work instructions, and light fixtures/templates.
  • Verify that inspection workstations meet all critical setup requirements, including lighting, viewing distance, and inspection tools.
  • Support quality engineering in developing and maintaining standard books.
  • Create and maintain product retain files.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Lift part bins, trays, and shipping boxes up to 50 pounds.
  • Support the current quality business system, including using SPECS and the Serigraph quality manual.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement by suggesting process changes.
  • Ensure environmental practices and material handling align with appropriate procedures.
  • Stop production to address quality concerns and inform management of non-conforming products or processes.
