Quality Assurance Technician

Full time:  Mid Shift 3:00pm-11:00pm

$18.85 per hour plus shift differential of $1.50 per hour on Mid shift 

Are you passionate about quality and looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team? Shearer's Snacks is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the excellence of our products. You will be responsible for conducting lab tests, ensuring equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, and monitoring operations for compliance with corporate quality requirements, SQF, labeling, GMP’s, and food safety standards.

• Experience: Quality Technician experience is preferred.
• Attendance: Reliability is a must. Your punctuality and consistency are crucial for this skilled position.
• Safety Mindset: Help us create and maintain a safe and healthy workplace by making SSW a priority.
• Language Skills: Effective communication is key. You should be able to read, understand, and clearly communicate with your team.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills, including conversions and the use of formulas, are necessary.
• Leadership: Be a role model by demonstrating honesty, dependability, and adherence to company policies.
• Reasoning Ability: Abiilty to apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems in typical operating situations.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required to run production and perform routine verifications.
• Time Management: Manage your time efficiently by following standard work instructions.
• Flexibility: Be available for pre-shift meetings, and be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
• Physical Demands: Be prepared to stand for extended periods, lift/move up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment for 12+ hours.
