Location: Remote in India 

Role Description: 

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with solid statistical skills and proficiency in Power BI reporting to join our team. Key responsibilities include providing insights through detailed reports for both internal stakeholders and external customers such as Merchants, Finance, Operations, Revenue, and more. These reports will be critical for better understanding our competitive advantages and helping stakeholders make informed conclusions to grow our business. The person in this role would be the liaison between stakeholders obtaining deep knowledge of business processes, gathering and translating business requirements, designing reporting solutions, and promoting continuous improvement of reporting and data analytics at ShipBob. This role reports to Group Product Manager. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Design, build and maintain excel and Power BI dashboards for easy data visualization and understanding. 
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes to accurately capture and translate business requirements into reporting. 
  • Collect, investigate, and evaluate business data to evaluate and recommend business changes to improve internal stakeholder and external merchant experience. 
  • Automate queries and other data processes to drive productivity across the business. 
  • Develop processes to record and maintain clean data within our database.  
  • Perform/handle ad hoc research and data requests. 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed. 

What you’ll bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Similar required. 
  • 2+ years of experience in data analytics using SQL/Power BI/Excel. Python experience is preferred. 
  • Can think critically about business challenges while simultaneously absorbing new knowledge and information. 
  • Creative problem solver, ability to handle multiple projects, and excellent work ethic needed. 
  • Have a passion for results and love getting into the details.  
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic startup environment and can navigate the ambiguities that come with it. 
  • Familiarity with ecommerce or retail environments/logistics preferred.
