Contract roles are geared toward independent professionals interested in temporary or project-based work.  

Sia Title: Project Specialist (Non-Exempt Contractor)  

Project Length: This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 3 months

Project Hours: 20-30 hours per week, may vary

Job Description

Sia Experience—the marketing and creative agency within Sia, a global consulting firm—is hiring a Social Media Content Creator who lives and breathes digital culture and understands how to translate brand strategy into polished, platform-native content. You’ll craft scroll-stopping social campaigns for highly regulated industries—think finance, health, and energy—where creativity and compliance go hand in hand. 

This isn’t a calendar manager or a personal-brand influencer gig. It’s for someone who can build content for clients with gravitas—brands that care about craft, strategy, and measurable outcomes. 

What You'll Do 

  • Create native-first content: Produce original, high-quality video, static, and motion graphics content designed for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok—no studio needed. 
  • Capture and edit on the fly: Film and edit social-first video using your phone and suite of tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, Canva, etc.) with agency-level polish. 
  • Think and execute strategically: You translate brand strategy and voice into content that feels relevant and engaging—whether navigating complex, regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, pharma) or crafting bold, trend-forward ideas for consumer brands. 
  • Stay ahead of trends: Infuse client campaigns with emerging platform trends, adapting formats like memes, POVs, green screens, and creator-style content—always tailored to the brand voice and audience. 
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with strategists, designers, and account leads to ensure content ladders back to overarching campaign goals. 
  • Manage content performance: Use analytics to assess and optimize content performance—what works, what flops, and why.

  • You consistently bring fresh, brand-relevant social ideas to the table—and thrive in brainstorms where you're building creative concepts from scratch, not just executing briefs 
  • Your ideas don’t just sound good in a brainstorm—they show up in campaigns, earn stakeholder buy-in, and feel fresh, relevant, and brand-aligned 
  • Audiences are engaging with your content because it feels like it belongs—your work mirrors platform trends, behaviors, and formats without losing the brand’s voice 
  • Clients trust your instincts—your content walks the line between creative risk and regulatory responsibility, and they see that it performs without creating compliance concerns 
  • Social calendars aren’t just filled—they’re strategic, timely, and driving engagement, with measurable growth in reach, shares, and audience interaction 
  • Internal teams and external partners see you as a creative engine—someone who brings structure, consistency, and momentum to a brand’s presence online 

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of hands-on content creation experience within an advertising agency or in-house brand team—experience across B2B, regulated, or consumer verticals  
  • A portfolio of video and visual content that spans both consumer and B2B work—or shows the ability to move fluidly between the and demonstrates strong creative instincts and brand alignment—please include samples or links 
  • Ability to concept, film, and edit engaging short-form video content independently 
  • Understanding of platform nuances and audience behaviors across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and beyond 
  • Creative agility—you’re as comfortable working on a high-growth SaaS client as you are a CPG launch or a healthcare brand 
  • Strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work quickly under tight deadlines 

Proficiency in content creation tools such as: 

  • Video editing: Adobe Premiere, After Effects, CapCut 
  • Design: Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop 
  • Presentation: Keynote or PowerPoint 
  • Bonus: Midjourney, Figma, or experience with 3D/AI design tools 

Bonus Points If You Have: 

  • Experience working on campaigns in industries like finance, healthcare, energy, or tech 
  • A strong POV on what makes content effective—and the metrics to back it up 
  • Skills in visual design, motion graphics, or generative AI tools
