The essence of the role:

As a QA Test Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and in some cases also executing tests. 

In this role, you will manage and guide the testers that could be both business and IT, ensuring that best practices are followed while working in an agile framework. You will also be expected to automate repetitive tasks and actively participate in large projects, driving quality from the ground up. Additionally, you should be ready to "roll up your sleeves" and get involved in hands-on testing and creating test data when needed, ensuring that testing efforts are carried out effectively. 

A key aspect of this role is being the bridge between business and IT- communicating effectively with both sides and ensuring alignment during the testing process. You will often be the link that connects stakeholders and development teams, ensuring smooth communication and understanding throughout the testing lifecycle. 

The role report to the QA CoE Manager. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead and coordinate testing activities for multiple projects 

• Manage test planning, execution, and reporting using tools such as Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence. 

• Be prepared to step in and perform hands-on testing when necessary, particularly in cases where additional support is needed to meet deadlines. 

• Develop and maintain test scripts for automation (basic scripting knowledge required). 

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test strategies, test cases, and test environments. 

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects. 

• Work on large-scale projects, ensuring testing coverage and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 

• Mentor and support business users in project that never worked with test before 

• Serve as the key communication link between business and IT during testing phases, ensuring both parties are informed and aligned. 

 Qualifications: 

• Proven 6 Yrs. experience in QA test management and leadership, with a strong background in manual testing. 

• Hands-on experience with testing tools such as Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence. 

• Basic scripting skills for test automation (e.g., knowledge of languages like Python, JavaScript, or similar). 

• Previous experience in test automation is highly desirable. 

• Experience working in agile methodologies and familiarity with sprint-based work. 

• Strong ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering quality results. 

• Experience in handling large and complex projects while maintaining a strong attention to detail. 

• Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset. 

• Ability to bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring effective communication and understanding throughout the testing process. 

• Willingness to jump in and assist with testing directly when necessary, taking ownership of the testing efforts.
