Your team
You will join our Product Management (PM) team as our new Senior Product Manager. You will be part of an expert PM team that cares for the success of our product, guiding it through its lifecycle from ideation to launch and beyond. Also, you will experience the culture of a tech company with a social impact focus and work in an international environment of ±65 SkillLabers from ±30 different countries in the heart of Amsterdam.
You will directly report to Ragnar, the Director of Product and one of SkillLab cofounders.
The other amazing product managers that make the PM team diverse and special are Hadeel, Omar, An, and Vajk.
You will also cooperate with our engineering teams, UX and Data science within the product function.

Your responsibilities
- You will define and articulate product requirements, prioritize features, and collaborate with stakeholders to bring an idea from uncertainty to clarity.
- You will effectively manage the delivery of software with software engineers. You will manage their agile workflows and oversee the final releases.
- You will communicate and collaborate with stakeholders within the organization and externally. You will ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- You will funnel knowledge from internal and external sources into SkillLab's roadmap, product and product vision, prioritizing across different levels of concern.
Your responsibilities
Your skills
- You have 5+ years of work experience in product management, product ownership, software engineering or similar field in tech companies. Combined experience in product management, software engineering, engineering management and/or UX will be highly appreciated.
- You are experienced with software development processes and system architecture
- You have a proven ability to define and prioritize product roadmaps, backlogs, and user stories.
- You are proficient in designing, implementing and executing new processes and knowledgeable about methodologies like Agile and / or Scrum etc.
- You have a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and place the user needs at the center of your processes.
- You have strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
Extra awesome
- Domain knowledge such as ontology management, matching algorithms, and / or labor market/employment services.
- Fluency in Arabic, Spanish or Ukrainian.
Salary, start-date & location
- We use a salary benchmark for the Dutch high-tech sector to set your salary based on your experience. We expect that the annual gross salary for the experience we are looking for ranges from 65k-80k Euro per year.
- We accept applications on a rolling basis, and we envision a start date as soon as possible.
- You will enjoy 25 paid vacation days per year (20 days as the statutory minimum holiday entitlement in the Netherlands plus 5 extra days from SkillLab).
- You can work flexibly from our office in Amsterdam and home within the Netherlands. You can also extend your holiday stay in a different country and work from abroad for a limited period of time.
