About You
You’re a passionate salesperson with proven experience in building strong, long-term relationships with a range of customers and distributors. You are motivated by achieving targets and have a solid understanding of how to win various customers. You’re a self-starter who is happy working on your own while also enjoying working regularly with distributor sales reps. You’re highly organised, resilient, and determined and can make quick decisions with the information you’re presented with.
About the Role
You will be accountable for achieving KPIs for your region, including volume objectives, promotional execution, distribution targets, new item speed to shelf, SRP management, retail execution and distributor management.
Grow Velocity (Retail and Foodservice)
- Maintain prominent placement in chiller and attain secondary displays in high foot locations
- In foodservice, ensure products are included on menus
- Work with the customer to have a price in the SRP window
- Plan and execute in-store samplings and demos to drive trials and build customer relationships.
- Ensure promotional compliance and ensure non-compliance is rectified or compensated.
- Utilize POS to bring the brand to life in-store and help increase sales
- Identify customer partnerships that showcase the product usage occasions - everyday refreshment, food pairing, cocktail/mocktail mixer, and alcohol replacement
Grow Distribution (Retail and Foodservice)
- Win new customers in both retail and foodservice. Ensuring that the brand and products are placed in a prominent position to maximise trial and awareness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sales reps at all distributors, ensuring they’re engaged, educated, and excited to sell Something & Nothing
- Add new flavors to existing customers within three months of launch
· Conduct weekly "route rides" to identify and address underperforming accounts and routes.
Data Management and Analysis
- Use Outfield to thoroughly track your weekly sales visits, goals, and achievements, and to ensure we’re gathering in-store information and using it in our strategy to improve our performance.
- Analyze monthly depletion reports, pinpoint opportunities for underperforming distributors, accounts and routes.
- Share insights from the trade to internal teams to help optimize our strategies
- Work with the national sales and finance team to build accurate insight-driven forecasts
Event & Show Support
- Represent Something & Nothing’s at distributor, customer and industry events

Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a NYC sales role with a CPG brand/manufacturer and/or distributor. Beverage experience is highly preferred.
- Building long-term relationships with customers and distributors
- Delivering strong sales growth YoY
- Motivating, educating and supporting distributor sales reps across a variety of sales channels
- Selling to different types of retailers (grocery - chain and independent), convenience, markets and liquor stores. Experience selling to foodservice customers (cafes, travel, B&I, C&U, casual and polished casual) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

- Up to $75k base salary
- 3% 401k contribution
- $50 per month phone allowance
- Medical contribution up to $416.67 per month
- 39 days PTO (made up of 15 days annual leave, 10 bank holidays, 4 rejuvenation days (1 per qtr), and 10 days sick leave)
Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognise you for your impact on our path to achieving our mission. For this role, the estimated base salary range is up to $75,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
