Principle QA Tester

Ensure that quality is embedded in every phase of the development cycle, from conception to delivery and coaches team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the team leverages the most efficient testing methodologies and tools.

key responsibilities:

  • Support in the design and execution of the department-wide testing strategies to ensure effective and efficient validation of software products throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide coaching and hands-on training to new and existing team members, ensuring they develop the necessary skills and expertise to contribute effectively to testing efforts.
  • Review Team progress and identify gaps when needed.
  • Lead continuous testing initiatives, addressing issues and potential bugs within an application during the development cycles by performing continuous testing of newly developed features and helping automate testing process
  • Take the ownership of following up the resolution of the most complex and critical functionality and performance testing issues.
  • Arrange for demonstrations from developers to test product functionality.
  • Push for a result-oriented approach for teams to deliver results that drive faster towards the end objective to minimize the bugs and glitches during development.
  • Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality for the chapter leads and product owners.
  • Work effectively to define testable user stories, especially acceptance criteria, with customer representatives and stakeholders to align expectations and delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure proper use of testing tools by the team to ensure continuous testing.
  • Collaborate within the team, working in pairs with programmers and other team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or its equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in performance and functionality testing as part of the development cycle.
  • Experience in working with product owners to define acceptance criteria.
  • Experience in coaching agile team members in relevant aspects of testing.
