Role Description
As an Investment Associate, you will take an active role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing direct secondary transactions in some of the most valuable privately held tech unicorns. You will play a critical part in driving the investment process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, leading due diligence efforts, and supporting strategic initiatives to enhance our investment capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of direct secondary transactions, managing the investment process from start to finish.
- Develop and refine investment theses by conducting in-depth market research and company analysis.
- Engage with investors, founders, brokers, and other stakeholders to identify and assess investment opportunities.
- Oversee due diligence efforts, including financial modeling, legal review, and risk assessment.
- Support capital-raising activities by preparing investment materials, conducting investor presentations, and managing relationships with prospective investors.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient deal execution and post-investment monitoring.
- Contribute to refining internal processes and frameworks to improve investment decision-making and operational efficiency.
- At least 3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, venture capital, or another relevant investment role.
- Strong interest in secondaries and technology investments, with a deep understanding of the growth equity and pre-IPO landscape.
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to evaluate complex investment opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate investment insights to various stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus.
