Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Trainer based in the Philippines to develop and deliver training programs for accounting professionals transitioning into U.S. healthcare revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, claims processing, and financial revenue cycle operations within the U.S. healthcare system.
As an RCM Trainer, you will be responsible for creating and executing structured training programs, hands-on workshops, and certification preparation courses to equip learners with the skills required to manage the full revenue cycle effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Development & Delivery:
- Design and implement RCM training programs tailored for professionals with an accounting background.
- Conduct live and virtual training sessions covering medical billing, coding, claims processing, AR management, and compliance.
- Develop training materials, case studies, and practical exercises to enhance learning outcomes.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and RCM software for hands-on training.
Technical Instruction:
- Teach insurance claims processing, denials management, payment posting, and AR follow-up.
- Instruct on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding basics and their integration into RCM workflows.
- Explain Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance reimbursement policies for the U.S. market.
- Guide learners in RCM performance metrics (Net Collection Rate, AR Days, First-Pass Rate).
Coaching & Certification Preparation:
- Assist trainees in preparing for industry certifications (e.g., CRCR, CPB, CMRS, CHFP).
- Provide ongoing mentorship and career guidance for job placement in revenue cycle roles.
- Conduct mock audits, real-world case studies, and practice claim submissions.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Ensure training covers HIPAA, compliance laws, fraud prevention, and best practices.
- Stay updated with CMS regulations, payer policy changes, and RCM industry trends.
- Recommend workflow optimizations for reducing claim denials and improving cash flow.
Qualifications & Requirements:
✔ Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field.
- At least one industry certification (preferred):
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) – HFMA
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) – AAPC
- Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) – HFMA
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) – AMBA
✔ Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, healthcare finance, or claims processing for the U.S. healthcare system.
- Experience in training, mentoring, or teaching RCM-related topics is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with RCM software, EHR, and practice management systems (Epic, Cerner, Kareo, Medisoft, etc.).
✔ Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and claims submission.
- Expertise in insurance billing, payment posting, accounts receivable (AR) management, and reimbursement analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse learner backgrounds.
- Ability to design training materials and deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on RCM process improvement and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a U.S. healthcare revenue cycle management role based in the Philippines.
- Knowledge of RCM automation tools and process optimization strategies.
- Experience with virtual training platforms and e-learning development.
