We are now seeking an Senior Project Manager to join on team on a fixed term basis (14 month contract). Reporting into the Project Development Manager for Ireland, the Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing several projects in a portfolio including project programmes and budgets through the development stage from early stage feasibility up to start of construction.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:  

  • Coordination of project team including external consultants and service providers. 
  • Reporting on projects status to senior management. 
  • Manage the early stage development and design of project in line with Statkraft standards. 
  • Manage the planning submission and business case preparation for Wind and Solar development projects. 
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with the lead EIA consultant and the consultation teams in both the preparation of planning applications and the local consultation plans for Wind and Solar projects. 
  • Co-ordinate the wind monitoring regime, 
  • Ensuring the project successfully secures all rights to build (consents, permits, grid connection, land rights other 3rd party agreements etc.) 
  • Work with the Statkraft grid team to secure grid capacity for wind and solar projects. 
  • Develop the business case for wind and solar projects with the commercial and markets teams 
  • Excellent collaboration with the project teams consisting of both internal and external experts. 
  • General contribution to the development of onshore wind and solar competence in Statkraft, including development and maintenance of high environmental and HSE standards.

Qualifications

  • Masters, university degree in engineering or natural sciences with documented extensive experience. 
  • Work experience in a similar field of managing development projects with a proven track record of delivering renewable/large scale infrastructure projects through development and construction stages. 
  • Demonstrated ability of working with the planning process and all development stages of onshore wind and solar sectors. 
  • Experience of having full responsibility for management of project budgets and schedules from early stage development to construction. 
  • Strong technical understanding of renewable energy technology with experience of contracts and technical appendices for main technology supply contracts. 
  • Proactive, creative and solution orientated with strong attention to detail.  
  • Strong communication, relationship building and good management skills including organisational ability and a target oriented; demonstrated ability to prioritize. 
  • Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry. 
  • Concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations and risk/benefit, both in written and verbal format to project teams.  
  • Excellent application MS Excel and other MS applications. 
  • Independent self-starter. Ability to manage a large workload, often providing support to processes managed by colleagues, while prioritizing tasks and effectively juggling competing deadlines. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
