The Business Solutions Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing property accounting systems, primarily Yardi and AVID, ensuring they meet the demands of our growing business. This role combines extensive property accounting expertise, systems management, and cross-departmental collaboration to drive operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will have deep accounting system knowledge and experience, acting as a liaison with IT and Tier 2 & 3 support teams to coordinate integrations and customizations. This individual will lead the accounting system support staff, managing Tier 1 support tickets, and will champion the setup, enhancement, and efficient operation of financial systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead and manage the property accounting system support team, ensuring timely resolution of Tier 1 support tickets.
• Partner with IT and Tier 2 & 3 support teams to coordinate integrations, customizations, and cross-departmental initiatives.
• Optimize financial systems, implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the Property Accounting Department.
• Oversee system configurations and updates to align with business requirements.
• Train end users on system functionalities and best practices.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Support the Property Accounting team with problem-solving and system-related guidance.
   

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on property accounting and full-cycle accounting knowledge
• Prior experience as a Controller or similar leadership role
• Extensive experience with financial/accounting systems, specifically Yardi (required)
• Proven ability to configure and optimize accounting systems for efficiency
• Strong understanding of IT workflows, system integrations, and customization processes
• Exceptional collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to lead and mentor a team
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
• Commercial real estate experience preferred
