Studyportals is looking for a Project Manager and Consultant for the Analytics and Consulting Team, based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

The Analytics and Consulting Team (ACT) advises and assists universities and other organisations in the higher education sector to realise their ambitions in the field of international marketing and international student recruitment. Our areas of expertise are Analytics, Consulting and Training.
Our Consulting activities focus on Strategy Consulting, Institutional Benchmarking and Leadership Development for higher education institutions (HEIs).
We are looking for a consultant to support our expanding consulting business.
You will be part of our ambitious and experienced team of data analysts, researchers and consultants, consisting of 13 dedicated, multinational professionals. Overall, Studyportals employs over 200 people in our offices around the world.
This role is hybrid with two days a week from our Eindhoven headquarters and three from home (located in the old Philips Clock building, on Strijp-S, an exciting hub of entrepreneurship, technology and design (Strijp-S video)).
As an international company our main language is English and proficiency in the Dutch language is not required.
The Challenge
In this role, you'll have two main responsibilities. On the one hand, you will coordinate and be involved in a range of consulting projects, utilizing a blend of desk/field research, data analysis, interviews and other market intelligence tools. You will provide our clients – predominantly universities around the world – with deep market insights and strategic guidance. Leveraging our extensive database, coupled with insights from other intelligence providers, you'll consult these institutions to strategically position themselves in the global educational landscape.
On the other hand, you will work directly together with our consulting team and the Director Higher Education Development, further building our new consulting unit, acquiring clients and managing various consulting projects.
The Activities
This role offers a diverse array of responsibilities and growth opportunities, including but not limited to:
Project Management: Manage projects through streamlined processes of planning and control, investigate and implement project management tools as required/requested. Delve into our clients’ internal processes and data, focusing on enquiry and application management, to uncover actionable insights.
Consulting: Engage directly in consulting projects by visiting client locations for in-depth interviews and collaborative discussions.
Research: Engage in comprehensive market research utilizing both traditional and innovative methods, including desk/field research and data analytics.
Acquisition: Support the Director Higher Education Development in sales and with the acquisition of new clients and the retention of existing clients, especially in EMEA and UK & Ireland.
Global conference participation: Represent the company at international conferences, showcasing our expertise and engaging with industry peers.
We're seeking a candidate who embodies the following qualities and skills:
Project Management: support the Director Higher Education Development in managing and administrating client projects, as well as carrying out desk research, support in report writing, etc. Develop the PMO standards, support projects and programs through streamlined processes of planning and control, investigate and implement PMO tools.
Strategy: Implement and oversee processes for increased productivity and growth. Provide brand/communication and marketing expertise.
Relationship Manager: Client point of contact, proposal development, contract negotiation, timeline, staffing.
Problem-solving: problem solving is at the heart of everything you do as a consultant. Work revolves around completing projects for clients, each project poses a unique problem the client needs solving in order to benefit the business.
Analytical excellence: Demonstrated skills in analysis, reporting, and strategic thinking, with a drive to create value for clients. Good command of Excel.
Business Development: together with the Director focus on the acquisition of new clients and the retention of existing clients. It would be a plus to have existing relationships in the Higher Education industry.
Insightful curiosity: A keen interest in conducting data analyses, transforming insights into comprehensive reports, visualizations, and actionable strategies.
Dynamic: Ambitious and energetic, with a charismatic presence. You are results-driven, dedicated to achieving success, and thrive in a team setting.
Communication: Being able to communicate effectively is key to a successful working relationship when working with clients.

Educational background: A Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Previous Experience: You have at least 4 years of experience within project management, consulting, business intelligence, data analysis or market research.
