Financial Analyst (Japan)

Substance is partnering with a client in the high technology space to find an experienced as a Financial Analyst. This role will involve leveraging analytical skills to provide actionable financial insights and support strategic decisions for businesses operating in Japan. You will be responsible for financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis, enabling our clients to achieve their financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions for clients in the Japanese market.
• Prepare and present financial reports that interpret data and summarize findings for management and stakeholders.
• Utilize financial modeling techniques to evaluate business performance and project future outcomes.
• Identify trends and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and project delivery.
• Research economic and market trends impacting clients' financial performance.
• Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the Japanese market.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Exceptional Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
• Excellent command of both Japanese and English (both written and spoken).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong presentation and communication skills to convey complex financial information effectively.
