Claims and Commission Specialist

As a global leader in infrared sauna therapy, we are expanding rapidly and need a meticulous and cross-functional Claims and Commission Specialist with a solutions-oriented mindset to keep Sunlighten on this incredible trajectory.

Our Claims and Commission Specialist will work closely with departments all across Sunlighten to ensure the accuracy of sales data, the proper calculation of commissions for Sunlighten’s Sales Representatives, the efficient resolution of claims and disputes, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, strong understanding of claims processing, commission structures, have a keen eye for accuracy of financial data and a high level of organizational expertise to support our processes.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

Sales Tracking:

  • Monitor and record sales data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Verify the completeness of sales records and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Work closely with sale representatives to ensure accurate commission payouts.

Commission Calculation:

  • Calculate commissions based on the company’s compensation structure and individual sales performance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of commission payouts.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to address any discrepancies or questions about commission calculations.

Claims Process:

  • Handle claims or disputes related to sales transactions or commissions.
  • Respond timely to inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders regarding claims.
  • Investigate and resolve claims promptly while maintaining clear communication with all involved parties.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of claims for reporting and auditing purposes.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of claims and commission processes.

Reporting:

  • Generate and distribute reports on sales performance, commission payouts, and claim status.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends to support leadership decision-making.
  • Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of claims, commissions, and payment status.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure the accuracy of financial data related to claims and commissions.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in a role involving sales tracking, commission calculation, or claims management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools; experience with CRM or sales tracking software is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to address discrepancies efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage and prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
