Head Youth Sports Coach

What We Are Looking For:

• A dedicated individual seeking part-time opportunities with a consistent schedule
• Availability on at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) is a must
• A minimum of two years of experience in coaching or working with children
• Experience with children having learning or developmental disabilities is a plus
• Prior experience with early childhood, particularly ages 1-2, is beneficial

Key Availability:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Minimum of one weekend day and two weekdays required
• Spring Season: Early April to June
• Fall Season: Early September to Mid-December
• Winter (January - March) and Summer (July - August) have limited hours

What You Can Expect:

• Competitive starting hourly rate at $25/hour, $30/hour, or $35/hour based on education and experience
• Paid training sessions, both virtual and in-person
• Flexible scheduling based on availability

• Soccer Stars is a company founded within the local communities of Long Island and Eastern Queens
• Provides a fun, educational curriculum focusing on soccer fundamentals
• Classes, camps, and clinics held in schools, community centers, and local parks
• Supports Youth Athletes United's mission to empower kids through sports, making learning enjoyable!
• Soccer Stars stands at the forefront of youth soccer development for children ages 18 months to 12 years old. Our acclaimed program provides an energetic, enjoyable, and age-suitable introduction to the fantastic game of soccer. We take pride in our creative curriculum, which focuses not only on soccer skills but also on fostering social skills and character development. Our primary objective is straightforward: to make a lasting, positive impact on every child we coach.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Passion for working with children, responsible, adaptable, and committed
• Two or more years of related experience (soccer coaching, teaching, camp counseling)
• Strong availability, particularly on weekends
• Enjoys fostering growth and development in children
• Effective communicator, both in person and digitally
• Reliable transportation for classes across various locations
• Comfortable commuting an average of 45 minutes to classes
• Access to a mobile device for scheduling and communication
