As our ambitious new Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll run a broad variety of operational activities, joining an experienced team of business leaders, engineers, and food fulfillment experts.The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient production, timely order fulfillment, and a high level of quality. You will lead by example and be responsible for keeping the team on track while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Main Ingredients of the Job
- Supervise a team in a fast-paced, cold storage environment, ensuring all tasks are performed efficiently to meet operational goals.
- Manage the process of creating meal kits by combining packaged ingredients into bags. Ensurekits are assembled correctly and meet quality standards, while meeting team output goals.
- Oversee the building of boxes for shipments, maintaining an organized and clean work area. Ensure that all tools, equipment, and machines are functioning properly.
- Monitor and track team performance, , using order processing software and Google Sheets to track and assign tasks
- Manage stock organization, and ensure that inventory levels are maintained to support smooth operations. Regularly stage products as needed for efficient production.
- Ensure that the correct products are selected, are damage-free, and meet Suvie’s high-quality standards. Perform regular inspections and audits of warehouse activities.
- Work alongside your team as needed to complete tasks on time
- Communicate the status of orders, team performance, and any issues to the management team. Offer insights and suggestions for process improvements.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and ensuring the team follows warehouse best practices, including proper handling of heavy items and operating machinery.
- Working hours: 3PM-11PM and as needed
What You Bring to the Table
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous warehouse or supervisory experience, ideally in a cold storage environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to keep the team motivated and moving efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order picking, and packing.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, thinking independently to unblock your team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software, Google Sheets, and other productivity tools.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to work in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to 40 degrees for long periods of time.
- Frequently lifting, pushing, pulling boxes up to 65 pounds
- The ability to observe details at close range
- Constantly bend, twist, squat, stoop, and reach retrieving products from lower shelf areas
- The ability to operate machinery such as a forklift and (or) pallet jack
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- The ability to operate a computer and other productivity equipment such as a hand scanner and labeling machine.
This is a full time salaried position based in our Indianapolis, IN facility, and includes paid vacation time during typical federal holidays, benefits and equity. Typical working hours will be approximately 3pm to 12am Monday through Friday.
