Job Title: Paralegal

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys in legal research, document preparation, case management, and client communications. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting in various legal matters, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a deep understanding of legal documentation and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document drafting.
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and affidavits.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all records are updated and easily accessible.
- Manage client communication, including gathering information, responding to inquiries, and following up on case progress.
- Coordinate with courts, government agencies, and opposing counsel to obtain necessary documentation.
- Conduct due diligence and fact-check legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits and summaries.
- Track deadlines and manage attorneys’ calendars to ensure timely submission of documents and compliance with court schedules.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
- Degree or certification in Paralegal Studies or a related legal field (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court filing systems.
- Experience using case management software (Clio, MyCase, or similar is a plus).
- Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in personal injury, family law, immigration law, corporate law, or real estate law.
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and legal drafting.
- Experience assisting with depositions, discovery, and trial preparations.
