The Role:
The Director of School Sales is a critical role responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with school district leaders. This position requires a deep understanding of the K-12 education landscape, a passion for technology, and a proven track record of sales success. The ideal candidate will be able to articulate the value proposition of MIYO Health's technology platform and service offerings, and effectively close deals.
Make sure you have and are able to:
- Experience building relationships in EdTech with Superintendents, Mental Health Directors, and Special Education Directors.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to transform positive relationships into lasting partnerships.
- Experience with SaaS sales and demonstration preferred
- A tech-savvy individual capable of learning our proprietary platform and interacting with the daily tools we use: HubSpot, Gmail, Google Chat, etc.
- Optimistic, enthusiastic, passionate, and persistent
- Self-starter and driven individual capable of setting & meeting sales goals
- Always seeking a “win-win” outcome.
- Seeking those sales professionals with 5+ years in SaaS and/or services sales experience.
- Direct experience in a mental health field is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to identify, qualify, and close deals with school districts East of the Mississippi
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers within school districts, including superintendents, directors of special education, and mental health directors.
- Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of MIYO Health's technology platform and service offerings to effectively communicate their value proposition to potential clients.
- Sales Process: Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, negotiating, and closing.
- Customer Success: Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional post-sales support and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales and marketing materials, and to ensure consistent messaging.
Competencies:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in EdTech sales, preferably in the K-12 education market.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of technology and the ability to learn new software and platforms quickly.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Sales Skills: Strong sales skills, including prospecting, qualifying, closing, and negotiating.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
Work Environment:
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required to attend conferences, industry events, and client meetings.
- Remote Work: The position may be remote, but requires strong self-management and communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and phone
- Frequent sitting and standing
- The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions may require the following physical demands when traveling to conferences or district/school offices for onsite meetings with school partners: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 70% sitting, 25% walking, and 5% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
