Location and Language: This is a remote position for which we are accepting applicants in GMT + 3 time zones with preference for candidates in: the European Union (excluding Germany), Serbia, and Poland. All candidates must be able to provide proof of identity and work authorization to work as a contractor in their country of residence. Telgorithm is based in the United States and English is the primary language used at work. Proficiency with Russian is a must have because we have a Russian-speaking development team. 

The Role:

We're looking for a hands-on, systems-minded DevOps Engineer with strong experience supporting .NET applications in production to take ownership of Telgorithm's cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability stack, and internal tooling. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our telecom platform as we continue to grow.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, high-impact team, enjoys deep technical challenges, and is confident working across the entire DevOps stack — from Kubernetes and CI/CD to dotnet performance tuning and memory diagnostics.

You'll collaborate closely with our engineers and product team, maintaining the systems that power our real-time messaging infrastructure. From upgrading Kubernetes clusters to writing custom Grafana dashboards or debugging .NET GC issues in production, you'll be the technical lead for making sure everything runs smoothly and securely.

What You'll Do:

As our DevOps Engineer, you'll play a critical role in shaping the infrastructure behind Telgorithm's real-time, cloud-native telecom platform. We're solving complex, time-sensitive challenges in a fast-moving industry, and your work will be central to making that possible.

This isn't a "keep the lights on" type of DevOps role. You'll be deeply involved in evolving the systems that keep our platform stable, scalable, and observable as we grow. You'll collaborate closely with engineering teams to manage infrastructure across multiple environments.

You’ll lead the charge in keeping our Kubernetes clusters running smoothly and efficiently. At Telgorithm, observability isn’t just a checkbox - it’s a priority. You’ll have the freedom to build custom Grafana dashboards and create meaningful SQL-based metrics that help us stay ahead of issues and make better decisions, faster.

Beyond that, you’ll take ownership of our alerting systems and design a thoughtful, reliable backup strategy that gives the whole team peace of mind. You’ll play a key role in keeping our platform secure by managing critical integrations, and ensure our development cycles stay fast and clean by maintaining build and versioning pipelines for our .NET and Node.js apps. 

This role touches nearly every part of our platform and gives you the opportunity to own, build, and continuously improve the systems that keep everything running smoothly.

What you’ll bring

• Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure a plus)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS/GKE/k3s) and Docker
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred)
• Familiarity with GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD
• Proficient with CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD
• Experience with Helm and Helm chart customization
• Solid scripting skills with Bash
• Familiarity with dotnet and Node.js build tooling (msbuild, vite, webpack)
• Experience troubleshooting complex dotnet app issues: memory leaks, performance, GC, etc.
• Strong understanding of networking: DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP
• Experience with logging and monitoring stacks (EFK, ELK, Loki/Promtail, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Understanding of VPN technologies (OpenVPN, IPSec, WireGuard)
• You have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field
• Bonus: experience with custom metric orchestration via SQL, HAProxy rate-limiting, or Slack bot scripting
