Desktop Support Analyst

This position is ON-SITE in Des Moines, Iowa.


This role is responsible for managing end-user incidents and service requests, providing support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues to ensure resolution within agreed SLA. In addition, the incumbent will work escalated and more advanced issues. Support is provided through Corporate Support Help Desk, email requests and requests submitted through Support Central Portal.


Essential Functions
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve more complex hardware, operating system, and connectivity issues, including network problems and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Ticket Management: Document all interactions in a ticketing system, ensuring issues are tracked from start to resolution.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding: Set up new employee accounts and hardware, ensuring access to email, file storage, and necessary applications. Offboard users by removing access and recovering equipment.
  • Access Requests: Handle standard and advanced access requests for shared drives, systems, or applications, ensuring proper role-based permissions are applied.
  • Equipment Setup: Deploy and maintain corporate laptops, peripherals, and accessories, ensuring users have fully functional devices.
  • Meeting and A/V Support: Provides setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing support for hybrid meetings, video conferencing, and other communication tools in conference rooms or remote environments.
  • Software Installation and Patching: Handle software deployment, system patches, and updates across user devices.


Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years experience providing technical support and/or customer service.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of desktop and end user technologies, including but not limited to: Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), Active Directory and Entra ID, networking concepts, VDI technologies and hybrid meeting technologies (Teams Room, Owl, smart office technologies).
  • A+ or Network+ certification strongly preferred
  • Microsoft or other industry certifications preferred
  • Experience supporting remote work force preferred
