Role overview:

You will be part of the Product team at Terrapay, working closely with Sales to drive lead conversion and product adoption among key prospects.

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

·       Develop Tailored Business Cases: Analyze client needs and business objectives to create customized business cases that demonstrate the value and ROI of our solutions, helping sales teams close deals effectively.

·       Collaborate with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales representatives to understand prospective clients' pain points, business goals, and decision-making criteria to ensure proposals are relevant and compelling.

·       Engage with Prospects: Meet with potential customers to present findings and build trust.  Position TerraPay as a source of thought leadership and consultation.

·       Conduct Financial and Market Analysis: Utilize data on market trends, competitive positioning, and financial metrics to build persuasive cases that highlight the economic impact and benefits of adoption for potential clients.

·       Model Potential ROI and Cost-Benefit Scenarios: Develop detailed financial models, including ROI, TCO, and break-even analysis, to show the prospective business benefits and cost savings achievable through our solutions.

·       Prepare Insightful Presentations and Reports: Enable the Commercialization team to create clear, data-driven presentations and reports that communicate the value propositions effectively to various stakeholders, from executives to operational teams.

·       Support Strategic Decision-Making: Provide sales leadership with insights on pricing, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics that can enhance deal strategies and increase win rates.

·       Maintain Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with product, finance, and marketing teams to ensure business cases are aligned with the latest offerings, pricing models, and market messaging.

·       Track and Report on Business Case Outcomes: Evaluate the effectiveness of business cases by tracking their impact on deal closures and customer adoption, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practices across the team.

 

This role is essential in strengthening our sales engagements by providing data-driven insights and building value-based cases that resonate with clients and drive successful deal outcomes.

Skills, Experience & Personality:

 

·       Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

·       Experience in Commercial Analysis: 3+ years of experience in a commercial analyst, financial analyst, or similar role, ideally within a sales-driven environment.

·       Sales and Business Acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies, with experience in supporting sales teams and creating impactful business cases that drive deal closures.

·       Financial Modeling and Analysis: Proficiency in financial modeling, including ROI, TCO, and break-even analysis, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear and compelling arguments.

·       Data Analysis Skills: Experience using data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau) to analyze market trends, customer insights, and financial data to inform business case development.

·       Market Research Abilities: Strong skills in market research, competitor analysis, and economic modeling to effectively position our solutions against competitors.

·       Presentation and Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver clear, persuasive presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders.

·       Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, especially with sales, product, finance, and marketing teams, to ensure alignment on customer proposals and business cases.

·       Attention to Detail and Problem Solving: High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills to identify business opportunities, mitigate risks, and create robust business cases.

·       Proficiency in CRM and Business Software: Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot) and business software (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Workspace) for managing workflows and creating client-facing materials.

 

This position requires a proactive, analytical thinker who can translate data into actionable insights that drive value for both our clients and our organization.
