Values
Tipping Point’s core values are at the heart of everything we do and we look for individuals who share our commitments:
Position Overview
All organizations evolve over time, but in the nonprofit space, there are very few resources to support their growth for maximum impact. Tipping Point’s Capacity Building Team provides financial and strategic partnerships, building trusted relationships with grantees to support where they are today and help them unlock their full potential so more individuals can move from poverty to prosperity.
The Capacity Building Manager plays a critical role within the Program Team’s work to help grantee partners maximize their impact in their community. Through organizational assessment and consultative relationships with grantee leaders, the Capacity Building Manager works with organizations and the Tipping Point Program Team to understand and address our grantees’ most promising areas for investment and growth and match them with resources to build their internal organizational capacity.
This role provides both a strategic lens to organizational development and strengthening systems and the project management required to source and select vendors to support grantee partners.
This position reports to the Capacity Building Director and is part of the Grantmaking and Capacity Building Team.

Salary + classification
Tipping Point is committed to paying competitive wages. In an effort to increase equity, because we know that salary negotiations tend to have an unfair bias, we do not participate in a salary negotiation process for any candidate. We will make our best offer, and it will be the same regardless of the candidate. The annual starting salary for the Capacity Building Manager role is $ $128,773. This position meets the exemption requirements as defined by state and federal law. Exempt employees are paid on a salaried basis, and their salary is intended to constitute their entire regular compensation, regardless of the number of hours they work; therefore, exempt employees are not eligible for overtime pay.
Hybrid Work Environment
Tipping Point is committed to the safety of our staff and to facilitating connection and community with one another. While we were remote for almost two years, we are a highly in-person culture and have moved into a hybrid work environment. While managers have some discretion over the schedule, teams are generally expected to be in person Tuesday-Thursdays. All other days staff may choose to work in the office or remotely. Please note that in a constantly changing environment, Tipping Point may adjust this arrangement as it sees the need to.
