Application Specialist

The Application Specialist is responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing critical business applications to ensure seamless operations and maximizing performance. This role focuses on ensuring the functionality and integration of enterprise tools like eCMS (ERP), ConEst, Tableau, Autodesk, SharePoint, and other key systems. The Application Specialist will act as the primary point of contact for resolving application-related issues, user/license management, administering updates, and working with the IT team to align application capabilities with the organization’s goals. 


WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Assist our MSP, COO and IT consultant to configure, monitor and maintain eCMS (ERP), ConEst, data warehouse/Tableau, and other critical enterprise systems.
  • Assist our MSP to develop and implement best practices for application performance, data integrity including backups, and uptime.
  • Assist our MSP to help monitor system hardware, maintenance, retirement and replacement.
  • Identify and resolve application issues to minimize downtime.
  • Assist our MSP to manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels for business-critical applications.
  • Manage licensing for eCMS, ConEst, Tableau, Autodesk, SharePoint, and JetBuilt.
  • Support the integration of business applications with existing systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compatibility.
  • Assist our MSP, COO and IT Consultant to improve the organization's overall security by implementing and enforcing application security protocols and updates.
  • Oversee the maintenance and rollout of communication systems, including Zoom Phone, Zoom Rooms and Teams Rooms.
  • Manage printers, copiers, and other hardware to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist COO and IT consultant in identifying opportunities for improving workflows and efficiency through application enhancements.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of application configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Work closely with the COO, IT Consultant and accounting teams to align application capabilities with business needs.
  • Act as the primary liaison with our MSP for application updates, upgrades, and support.


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in application management, IT support, or related roles.
  • Proven experience with ERP, estimating software, BI tools, or similar platform administration is required.
  • Experience with eCMS, ConEst, AutoDesk, SharePoint, or Tableau is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of system configuration and maintenance.
  • Experience managing user accounts and permissions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level application security practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft 365, OneDrive and SharePoint experience required.
  • SQL experience is preferred.
