We are currently seeking a dedicated Electrical Project Manager to join our dynamic team and manage electrical construction projects from start to finish.

Position Overview:

The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall successful management of assigned electrical projects. This includes managing budgets, schedules, resources, and workforce allocation while maintaining clear communication with clients and ensuring their satisfaction. In addition to ensuring timely decision-making and maximizing project profitability, the successful candidate will oversee the utilization of company-owned and rented equipment, supervise project staff, and provide essential input into key project deliverables such as schedules, job costs, subcontracts, and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the successful execution of electrical projects, including managing budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and client communication to ensure the highest levels of satisfaction and profitability.
  • Decision Making & Direction: Make timely decisions and provide direction to ensure the profitability and efficient execution of each project.
  • Equipment Utilization: Ensure the proper management and utilization of company-owned and rented equipment to support project needs.
  • Supervision & Leadership: Directly supervise project managers, site supervisors, and other management staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth operations and a productive work environment.
  • Project Scheduling & Cost Management: Provide input into the development and updating of project schedules, job cost reports, and other management reports to track progress and performance.
  • Subcontractor & Purchase Management: Play a key role in the development and execution of subcontracts, purchase orders, payment requisitions, and proposals, ensuring timely completion and adherence to scope.
  • Site Purchases & Construction Methods: Review and approve job site purchases and ensure all construction methods and practices are in line with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly job cost and financial reports, keeping clients and internal teams informed of progress and any potential concerns.
  • Employee Development: Support training and development activities for team members, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow in their roles.
  • On-Site Presence: Regularly visit job sites, employing a "Management by Walking Around" approach to engage with teams, offer feedback, and ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure that all work and materials meet the highest standards of workmanship and comply with project specifications and drawings.
  • Project Closeout: Manage all aspects of the project closeout process, ensuring that all requirements are met before finalizing and delivering the project.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management team to support project success.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally focusing on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Relevant certifications in project management or electrical systems (e.g., PMP, OSHA, etc.) are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction practices, and industry standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong emphasis on budget control, schedule adherence, and quality.
