Associate Software Engineer - Endpoint Technologies

Job Summary:

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work collaboratively within a Scrum environment contributing to the development and support of mission-critical B2B integration solutions between TradeCentric’s platform and its technology partners like Salesforce, Coupa, BigCommerce, NetSuite, and technology bridges for a wide variety of systems. With an emphasis on reliability, quality, security, and customer outcomes, you will develop endpoint solutions under the guidance of senior software engineers, directly contributing to customer success and helping drive TradeCentric’s next phase of growth.

💻 Report To: Software Engineering Manager

🏢 Work Location: Bucharest, Romania (Hybrid schedule)

📅 Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-office Tues.–Thurs., remote Mon./Fri.)

🕒 Hours: 9am to 6pm

• Contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of software features under the guidance of senior engineers
• Follow established quality practices including writing unit tests and participating in code reviews
• Research API and integration solutions from partner platforms
• Assist with identifying and troubleshooting issues, escalating complex problems as needed
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, learn Agile best practices, and contribute to team goals
• Support documentation and requirement gathering tasks with guidance from more experienced team members
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders in all aspects of Scrum and other team ceremonies
• Collaborate with Development Manager and Product Manager on research, prioritization, scoping, and acceptance criteria for roadmap deliverables
• Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred
• 2-3 years of software development experience. Internship or project experience is welcome
• Familiarity with PHP/Zend including services, API, scalability, and security, and technologies including Elasticsearch, Logstash, MySQL, and MongoDB is preferred
• Willing to learn and work with various data formats including XML, cXML, JSON HTTP/API, and X12 EDI protocols
• Adept at working with Git, containers, and Apache/Linux
• Familiarity with Scrum’s principle qualities
• Creative problem-solver
• A great teammate. Confident and passionate, yet humble and empathetic
• Experience with eCommerce, eProcurement, or ERP systems is a plus
