Job Description

Trainline is the leading independent rail and coach travel platform. We bring together millions of routes, fares and journey times from hundreds of carriers for:

  • Consumers; serving them through our highly rated app and website
  • Businesses; through our business products giving companies of all sizes full travel visibility, better cost efficiencies and controls and their employees an easy way to book
  • Travel sellers; through a suite of solutions to help them grow their businesses in the easiest, most cost-efficient way to integrate rail intro their offering and ultimately put rail at the heart of more journeys
  • Carriers; through a suite if high converting, high quality ticketing solutions to help them meet current and future demands of rail travel at a lower cost to serve

This role sits within  Trainline Partner Solutions. (TPS), which is our B2B arm of the business providing industry leading rail and technology solutions to make the complex world of rail and ticketing simple. This includes Trainline Business, Trainline’s B2B offering direct to companies of any size, it allows companies to manage and control their businesses travel through a self-serve tool as well as offering their employees a simple and easy to use website and app to book tickets.  It also includes our Global Distribution team, which focuses primarily on Travel Management Companies (TMC), Online Booking Tools (OBT) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS).

The Graduate Account Executive will work across each of these, with a particular focus on Trainline Business customers. This role will have a portfolio of customers assigned; key responsibilities are outlined below:

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day support to an assigned portfolio of Trainline Partner Solutions customers.
  • Build and manage successful customer relationships.
  • Produce external customer facing collateral and help compile internal presentations.
  • Identify growth opportunities and execute them with the help of the team.
  • Assist the team with the ongoing platform migration project.
  • Ad-hoc projects and business support as needed.
  • Support on development and managing a customer communication plan.
  • Negotiation and renewal of existing customer contracts.

Qualifications

  • Business or related degree, and/or able to demonstrate strong commercial awareness.
  • Experience in customer service or related activity is desirable.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Able to demonstrate being able to work in a strong and effective team.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and take ownership.
  • Confident, with the ability to be comfortable to find your way in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English, an additional language is desirable (French and Italian).
  • A self-starter, someone who is able to work from their initiative and manage a varied workload.
