What the role looks like

Product Management:

• Working closely with Product Designers and Engineers to identify and deliver new functionalities that solve our customers’ problems.

• Working in a collaborative, AI-first, test & learn, and highly agile manner.

• Setting clear expectations with stakeholders and keeping the broader teams informed and inspired.

• Identifying new opportunities with your team by understanding customer, user, and market requirements.

• Striving to create an environment of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team and across the business.

Prompt Engineering:

• Distilling complex needs into effective prompts that help colleagues work smarter and customers get more value from our product (AI agents, for example).

• Testing and iterating prompts and prompt chains for your own domains and in collaboration with others.

• Leading prompt writing and optimisation strategy and tactics for an AI chapter that spans Product and Engineering.

• Coaching, conducting workshops, pairing and supporting, and anything else needed by colleagues in Product and Engineering to ensure continuous improvement of prompting knowledge and usage.

• Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, determining what is relevant for Trengo, and sharing this knowledge broadly.

What you can bring

• Experience as a senior or lead in a Product or Engineering role.

• 2+ years’ experience as a product owner or product manager in a SaaS startup or scale-up.

• Experience as a Prompt Engineer, or ability to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and proficiency in writing and optimising prompts for various use cases and with multiple LLMs/models. Knowledge and/or experience with agentic AI (AI agents) a plus.

• A passion for everything GenAI and prompting.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Customer centricity and an impact driven mindset.

• An adaptable and pragmatic mindset that allows you to embrace change and prefer progress over perfectionism.
