The Opportunity


As a Director of Corporate Development and Mergers and Acquisitions at True Environmental you will play a key role driving growth through mergers and acquisitions to further True’s overall growth objectives. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive M&A strategy to expand our service offerings, geographic reach, and client base. You will also be key in identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships and business development opportunities. Expertise in developing targeted pipelines, fostering relationships with prospects, and advocating compelling mutual interests is a key requirement of this role. Furthermore, you will assist with financial analysis, due diligence, and deal structuring as may be necessary. This role requires a self-starter with a strategic mindset who takes the initiative and is motivated by new challenges. This position will work closely with senior leaders across the company, including True’s Executive Leadership Team.


What you'll do
  • Develop and implement a long-term M&A strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Source, identify, and evaluate potential acquisition targets in the professional services industry.
  • Lead the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, working closely with legal, financial, and operational teams.
  • Negotiate and structure M&A transactions to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Leads and collaborates with Finance and Operations on the integration process for acquired companies, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing synergies.
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances to expand the company's capabilities and reach new markets.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and industry developments to identify potential growth opportunities.
  • Prepare compelling business cases and presentations to support M&A and development initiatives.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, marketing or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the professional services industry.
  • Proven track record of success in leading M&A transactions for professional services firms.


Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the professional services industry and its current dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
