Job Description

The Events Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and managing a variety of Global B2B education events aimed at driving brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. This role involves coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders, managing event logistics, and ensuring the successful delivery of events that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities: 

Event Planning and Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive event program that supports marketing and business goals.
  • Plan and manage a variety of events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer events.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Global Events, to align event strategy with overall marketing objectives and ensure consistency across all events.

Event Execution:

  • Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, registration processes, and on-site coordination.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events, managing timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, solutions engineering, and other internal teams to ensure event success.

Content and Promotion:

  • Develop event content and promotional materials in collaboration with the content marketing team.
  • Create and execute event marketing campaigns using various channels such as email, social media, and paid advertising to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Work with speakers and presenters to ensure high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the target audience.

Budget Management:

  • Manage event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor and report on event-related expenses, ensuring activities stay within budget.

Vendor and Partner Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with event vendors, partners, speakers and sponsors.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure all agreements are fulfilled to the highest standards.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze event performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Provide regular reports on event outcomes, attendee feedback, and ROI to senior management, marketing  and stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously improve event strategies and execution.

Attendee Experience:

  • Ensure a positive and engaging experience for all event attendees, from pre-event communications to post-event follow-ups.
  • Gather and analyze attendee feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance future events.

Innovation and Best Practices:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in event management.
  • Drive innovation in event planning and execution, exploring new methodologies to improve effectiveness and attendee engagement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience in B2B event management, preferably in the education technology sector
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and vendor management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
  • Creative and innovative event planning and marketing strategies that remain focused on driving engagement and results
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of the education technology industry trends and key players
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, cross-departmental, global organization
  • Familiarity with project management softwares (Asana preferable)
  • Good working knowledge of Salesforce.com
