What we do
Ultramed's platform allows patients to securely share their personal health information with their healthcare teams. With Ultramed, healthcare teams can request information from a patient to help plan upcoming operations or procedures. Our platform reduces the number of unnecessary appointments for patients, improves patient safety and increases efficiency for healthcare providers.
What you'll work on
Define and Implement QA Strategies
- Work with senior developers and the CTO to design and document comprehensive test strategies.
- Define quality metrics and establish processes for test planning, execution, and reporting.
Testing Activities
- Execute hands-on testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing.
- Develop, document, and maintain detailed test cases, scripts, and test data.
- Identify, log, and track defects, ensuring their resolution in collaboration with developers.
Process and Framework Development
- Establish QA processes and frameworks to support current and future testing needs.
- Recommend tools and best practices to improve the QA lifecycle.
- Develop reusable test automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with developers, implementation teams, Head of Product, and the CTO to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
- Provide clear and concise test status updates, highlighting risks and quality concerns.
- Act as an advocate for quality, influencing decisions to prioritise high standards throughout the development lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
- Proactively suggest improvements to enhance testing efficiency and product reliability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certification in QA methodologies (e.g., ISTQB)
- Significant experience in software quality assurance, including experience in defining test strategies.
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with testing tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (we use GitHub Actions) and their integration with test automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive quality improvements.
- Fully remote and flexible working. Work from wherever you work best with control over your work hours**
- 9-day working fortnight. Alternating Fridays off with no reduction in salary or Annual Leave. Average of 36 hours per week
