Senior Software Engineer (AI)

We’re on a mission to transform public sector procurement and contracting using the latest and greatest in artificial intelligence. Our solution simplifies government contracting by decoding complex requirements and generating everything needed to successfully win business with the United States government. As we grow, we’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about leveraging AI to help businesses, especially those in the Government Contracting (GovCon) space, move faster and win more projects. 

We need engineers that share our passion for building and scaling with bleeding-edge technology in a fast-paced, startup environment - one which already has the benefit of thousands of customers and millions of dollars of revenue. You’ll have the opportunity to work on our core platform, train and deploy research-grade AI models, and occasionally work with our intriguing customers. 

What You Will Do         

You’ll spend most of your time building out our core offering with feedback from our internal experts with decades of experience, integrating the latest and greatest advances in artificial intelligence.

• Plan, implement, and test product features with high agency 
• Iterate with our non-technical staff to improve performance
• Champion new lines of effort and bring ideas to the table
• Architect elegant solutions to complex, open-ended problems
• Help meet customer needs in an ever-evolving trillion-dollar industry
• Put together munitions: documentation, demos, diagrams, etc. 

Your First 60 Days 

• In Week 1, you’ll meet the team, begin onboarding, and gain access to our systems.
• In Week 2, you’ll shadow one of your colleagues as they move through tickets.
• In Month 1, you’ll independently tackle tickets and feature requests!
• In Month 2, you’ll begin developing specialties and complete your first on-call rotation.
• By Month 3, you’ll be independently driving product outcomes and branching out to more R&D.

Who You Are    

• 3+ years of full stack experience; 2+ years on a TypeScript/JS stack
• Deployed a Vue.js application to a production environment
• Well-spoken and comfortable articulating complex concepts
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and WebSocket interfaces
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a low-process, high-ownership startup environment 

Your Differentiators    

• Contributed to open source or built hobbyist projects
• Experience in high agency, startup environments
• Infrastructure literacy with networking and containers
• Proficient in secure coding principles and practice
• Prior experience with generative AI
• Prior experience with Python

The salary range for this opportunity is $110,160 - $129,600 per year. You will be eligible for discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
