Service Technician

(MVE) is a leading manufacturers’ representative firm who sells and services water and wastewater treatment equipment, valves, and actuators to the waterworks industry in Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle. Municipal Valve and Equipment is hiring a Service Technician in Addison, TX. The Service Technician is required to travel up to 50% of the time. Travel territory will include Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The majority of the travel will be throughout Texas.

• Installation: Install new equipment and products, and test them to ensure they work correctly
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and equipment upkeep
• Repair: Diagnose problems and repair faulty equipment
• Customer support: Provide customer support and educate customers on how to use and maintain their equipment
• Record keeping: Keep detailed records of services performed, including repair history
• Safety: Follow company safety policies and drive responsibly
• Travel 50% of the time within Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge and understanding of basic single & three phase power, analog, and digital control types
• Competent with tools and basic mechanical practices
• Certificate of completion from a technical school/college with a concentration in Electrical Instrumentation or similar
• Clean driving record and valid driver license
• Must be able to troubleshoot equipment using deductive reasoning skills
