Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician II to join our healthcare team in Towson, United States. In this role, you will work under the supervision of professional nursing staff to provide direct patient care and support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

  • Perform essential patient care duties including vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, and blood draws
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility
  • Conduct accurate documentation of patient care activities and vital signs
  • Support patient safety initiatives and fall prevention protocols
  • Perform blood glucose monitoring and EKG procedures
  • Assist with wound care and dressing changes as delegated by nursing staff
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement patient care plans
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition to appropriate medical staff
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • Participate in hourly patient rounding
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and alarms
  • Mentor and precept new Patient Care Technicians

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Maryland state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum of one year healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong clinical skills including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, and patient care procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications
  • Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and perform required care duties
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
  • Demonstrated knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of patient care
