Director of Business Development- Traffic Control

Role Overview:
The Director of Business Development will play a critical role in driving growth and expanding our footprint in the U.S. market. This position requires a proven track record of success in business development, particularly within the power sector, with a focus on traffic control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong network and the ability to secure at least two new major clients annually, while also ensuring alignment with offshore teams to deliver optimal results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify, engage, and secure a minimum of two new clients per year within the power sector, with a focus on traffic control systems.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively research and source high-potential leads, with weekly reporting on activity, leads, and progress to senior management.
  • Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth and meet annual revenue targets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the offshore business development team to ensure seamless coordination and execution of initiatives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring long-term partnerships and business success.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed weekly reports on sales activities, lead development, and overall progress against targets.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 6-7+ years of business development experience, with a focus on traffic control systems within power companies or related industries.
  • Proven ability to close large deals and manage long-term client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the power sector and energy-related projects.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present and influence at all levels.
  • Collaboration: Experience working with offshore teams to ensure coordinated efforts and strategy alignment.
  • Reporting: Strong organizational skills with experience in providing regular reports on sales activities and lead development.
