The role

Are you passionate about solving problems, helping others, and making technology work smoothly? As an IT Support Specialist at Vaadin, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our internal teams have the tools, access, and support they need to do their best work.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll be the go-to person for internal IT services, working closely with colleagues across all departments to ensure our systems and processes run securely and efficiently. This is a full-time role ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on IT work, is service-oriented, and thrives in a structured yet collaborative environment.

Although Vaadin operates as a remote-first company, this position is based on-site at our Turku HQ due to the hands-on nature of the work. That said, we offer flexibility in working hours and the possibility for remote work when responsibilities allow.

What you’ll do 

  • Order and deliver equipment based on requests.
  • Manage the full equipment lifecycle, including secure erasure of retired devices.
  • Handle mobile phone and broadband subscriptions.
  • Administer Google Workspace accounts and user credentials.
  • Manage IT onboarding and offboarding, including access rights and security setup.
  • Maintain access control lists and support ISMS compliance.
  • Manage internal mailing lists and software licenses.
  • Respond to GDPR-related requests and contribute to data privacy processes.
  • Participate in internal ISO audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee SFTP server maintenance and operations.
  • Continuously improve and expand the scope of the internal IT service desk.

What you bring to the table

  • A degree or formal education in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Some previous experience in service-oriented IT support, system administration, or a similar role is a plus.
  • A service-driven mindset with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft licensing, and access management systems.
  • A self-motivated, organized approach to solving problems and improving processes.
  • Good English skills (written and spoken)
