Manager, Site Logistics

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking to welcome a Site Logistics Manager to work with our various suppliers. The position is located out of Cameron, LA and will report to the Senior Vice President & Project Director.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage project cost for transportation logistics – ensuring budgets are maintained and balanced
• Create visibility & accountability on all projects; facilitate the development of line-of-sight metrics to link international transportation logistics activities to Venture Global LNG ‘s execution strategy
• Utilize specific knowledge of the transportation logistics market, trends and capabilities to identify areas for cost reduction and saving opportunities
• Manage international transportation of Venture Global LNG’s shipments to project sites in US 
• Responsibilities include communication of transportation plans with stakeholders and insurance providers 
• Evaluate and approve heavy haul seafastening designs and method statements for accuracy
• Ensure all required documentation is provided to all stakeholders prior to release of shipments
• Create plans and ensure safety procedures and protocol are followed by 3rd party transportation logistics individuals through evaluation of monthly KPI measurements
• Responsible for Import and Export compliance and customs clearance
• Implement Responsible Care guidelines in all Logistics operations. 

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred 
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management
• Experience in a supervisory role
• High process orientation and analytical approach to problem solving
• Experience in heavy haul and large equipment transportation and ocean shipping
