The Role

Veracross is seeking a talented and innovative Head of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives across the APAC region. This role is pivotal in driving our brand presence and enhancing our engagement with K-12 private schools by developing and executing comprehensive growth marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SaaS and, or EdTech landscape, leveraging this expertise to propel the Veracross portfolio of brands forward within the region, most notably in Australia and New Zealand.  

As the Head of Marketing, you will oversee all aspects of marketing strategy, including demand generation, field marketing, digital marketing, and content strategy for the region, while supporting centralised marketing rollouts to the region across brand and product marketing.  

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Partnerships, Brand, and Product Marketing, to align local marketing efforts with company goals. This position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.  

Responsibilities  

  • Work closely with other in-region teams to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive customer engagement, brand awareness, and lead/pipeline generation.  
  • Analyse industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risk areas for growth and churn mitigation.  
  • Alongside local sales leadership, support and motivate the wider in-region revenue team to deliver on opportunity and pipeline KPIs and other strategic goals.  
  • Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns that showcase the value of Veracross solutions in the region. 
  • Lead a small team of marketing specialists, providing guidance and fostering a creative and growth-oriented environment.  
  • Be the regional voice for APAC at a Marketing Leadership level for varied projects ranging from marketing operations, brand and product marketing.  
  • Attend tradeshows, and other events, including public speaking, facilitation of workshops and panel discussions. 
  • Campaign management:  A skilled B2B growth marketer with proven success in driving brand, opportunity or lead generation through integrated marketing campaigns across both traditional and digital channels, for a variety of products in various stages of the sales funnel.  
  • Marketing must-haves: B2B experience that includes ideation through execution of integrated marketing campaigns that include events, growth marketing, digital, pay per click and content marketing. 
  • Marketing nice-to-haves:  Customer, CRM, brand, marketing operations or product marketing experience in a SaaS or EdTech environment. 
  • Industry experience:   B2B experience in SaaS or related IT or Professional Services is essential, with experience in EdTech or knowledge of the K-12 Education space being highly regarded.  
  • People leadership:   Previous experience leading a small, but high performing marketing team including writers, event managers, and marketing operations on a mostly remote basis.   As a senior member of the APAC management team, the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with others 
  • Marketing philosophy: Growth mindset with the ability to analyse and use data in decision making, while keeping audience persona needs and buying psychology in mind when building brand and growth campaigns for the region.  
  • Travel and event requirements: The ability to attend 10+ domestic events per year including experience in public speaking, facilitating workshops and networking.   
  • Global environment:  As the conduit between the region and global marketing teams, you’ll be required to attend some essential early morning, or evening calls each.  These are kept to a minimum, with those working outside of their regular hours encouraged to manage their day to accommodate for work/life balance and the right to disconnect.
