Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering, with significant exposure to lean manufacturing.
Proven track record of process improvement and implementation of lean manufacturing techniques.
Strong interest in disrupting traditional construction methods through advanced manufacturing practices.
Willingness to travel extensively to construction sites and factory locations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and drive change.

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer to lead efforts to optimize and innovate Vessel’s manufacturing operations. This role spans both factory settings and construction sites, with a focus on leveraging lean manufacturing principles to transform the building process. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using manufacturing techniques to disrupt traditional construction paradigms and will be enthusiastic about traveling to various sites to ensure excellence in execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity across factory operations and construction sites.

Lean Manufacturing Expertise: Implement and refine lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing innovations.

On-Site Engagement: Visit construction sites to evaluate and improve on-site manufacturing techniques and provide hands-on support.

Technology Integration: Explore and adopt advanced manufacturing technologies to improve operational capabilities.

Training and Mentorship: Educate and mentor teams on lean manufacturing practices and foster a culture of innovation and efficiency.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of improvements and make informed decisions for future enhancements.
