We are looking for someone who is available to work between 14–22 hours per week, who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys keeping payroll processes running smoothly!
Key Accountabilities
- Use the HR system to collate and upload employee data changes, additional payments, and time-off records to the payroll providers.
- Reconcile and validate payroll data to maintain compliance with legislative and audit requirements.
- Validate freelancer invoices
- Work with global payroll service providers to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Carry out detailed checks on the payroll data before submitting it to the payroll providers to ensure it is accurate.
- Handle payroll-related queries from employees, tax authorities, and third parties, promptly and providing the highest level of customer service.
- Administer pensions, including auto-enrolment, 401k and superannuation.
- Process holiday accrual reporting for accounts.
- Check, issue, and process commission statements promptly.
- Input and update payroll-related data, including starters, leavers, transfers and salary changes.
- Manage statutory payments in line with local legislation.
- Ensure compliance with tax year-end reporting, including P11Ds and P60s.
- Support the finance team with month and year-end reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
- Support general administrative duties as needed.
Skills required
- Demonstrated proficiency in delivering payroll in the UK & Europe as a minimum.
- Flexible, with a problem-solving, persistent mindset and at ease with change.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Highly self-motivated and driven to deliver results and have a positive impact.
- Recognises the value and important of exceptional customer service.
- A proven team player.
- A confident and articulate communicator.
- Experience of Hi Bob HR system is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working with various teams such as HR, finance, and management to ensure smooth payroll operation.
