She/He will be able to identify business development opportunities with focus on the South Cone markets of Bolivia, Paraguay & Uruguay, working with acquirers and issuers and other internal and external stakeholders. She/He will have the opportunity to work on the execution of Grow Acceptance initiatives and the Merchant Sales & Acquirer (MS&A) business plan in these markets, in coordination with the LAC and Global hierarchy and corresponding strategies. The intern will be located at the Visa office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Support the implementation and execution of the MS&A Strategy for the markets, including management of Market Development and Grow Acceptance programs, such as Bolivia Market Development Fund.
- Analyze market data and interact with other market teams to identify Sales, Merchant & Acquiring development opportunities in line with the plans.
- Ensure coordination with internal teams for the execution of the acceptance activities.
- Support the sales team to develop and execute a set of objectives and goals for assigned client to increase client's Visa sales volume, profitability and providing dynamic and proactive product support and customer service
- Ability to identify key strategic issues and to generate and deliver creative and innovative solutions to problems and opportunities
-Develop a comprehensive understanding of all Visa products and services
- Develop individual business case justification for investment decisions and propose to Regional Management for approval
- View new business opportunities, analyzing client’s profiles, products’ profile as well as their strategic moments, with the purpose of offering adequate products to the needs of the partners and increasing their business volume with Visa
- Work with clients on ways to maximize profitability by offering advice on the development of target markets, product development, advertising, marketing and product mix
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of work experience with a higher degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD).
Undergraduate or advanced undergraduate student.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in field sales or related functions.
- Deep knowledge and extensive experience in financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles and manage large, complex deal negotiations with strategic clients.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to influence the direction and change attitudes/decisions of senior international clients.
- In-depth knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including key players, competition and trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Independent work and team collaboration.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand complex technology solutions and business issues.
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including risk, customer experience and engagement, payment security, transaction processing and regulatory requirements.
- Natural ability to understand and articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
