Role description:
We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to contribute to the project on a freelance basis (4-month project).
The ideal candidate is an experienced data analyst with strong analytical and communication skills who enjoy working with data and creatively developing research-driven insights for clients. The candidate is a problem-solver with a demonstrated ability to explore “what if” scenarios and find innovative solutions to everyday marketing and sales challenges.
Responsibilities:- Collecting, verifying, and processing data from various sources (including AWS, SQL, and Tableau); using analytics tools to analyze campaigns in the pharmaceutical industry, such as email, banners, web activity, etc
- Preparing PowerPoint reports, particularly through automated processes using Tableau and Rollstack, to present marketing campaign results to clients
- Supporting and updating existing dashboards in Tableau, as well as creating new ones for campaign performance and key metric analysis
- Finding insights in the data, identifying strengths and weaknesses in campaigns, and preparing recommendations for improvement
- Working with data in Excel to perform additional analytical operations, such as ROI analysis, cleaning, and organizing data for further processing
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Designing and implementing data visualization solutions, such as dashboards, to effectively communicate complex data
- Ensuring data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards
- Conducting regular data quality checks to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Providing strategic recommendations based on data analysis to improve campaigns
- Presenting findings and insights to clients and internal teams in a clear and concise manner
- Following department processes for tracking work and documentation
- Understanding pharmaceutical company data/processes is a plus
Required skills and experience:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Quantitative Analysis, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of analytics experience in healthcare and/or marketing
- Primary Tools: Excel (for data analysis and reporting), PowerPoint (for creating professional presentations), Tableau
- Technical Knowledge: advanced SQL (for querying data in Amazon Athena and RDS)
- Additional Skills: Python, SPSS (preferable but not required)
- Soft Skills: analytical thinking, storytelling based on data, attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on translating data into actionable insights
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and methodologies
- Advanced/Fluent English
- Effective communication skills for presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality
- Project management skills to handle multiple reporting projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with clients
- Proactive, independent approach to stakeholder engagement and customer needs
- Comfortable in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, with the ability to lead high-visibility strategic projects
- High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and experience in strategic account management
- Knowledge of healthcare marketing and industry-specific metrics is a plus
- Experience with unstructured/semi-structured data and/or digital analytics is desirable
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, and/or Google Analytics, Azure) is a plus
