As we innovate in the government contracting sector, we seek a motivated Business Development Trainee on a path to becoming a skilled Capture Manager. This role involves learning the government contracting lifecycle, leading capture efforts, and driving strategic growth through aligning our solutions with client needs.
Position Overview: VivSoft is looking for a Senior Account Manager with a strong consulting background who has a keen ability to lead business growth, further develop existing trusted relationships and build new relationships and provide project delivery oversight. The Account Manager will be client-facing, responsible for creating, developing, and strengthening deep relationships with customers. You will understand the future direction of the customer’s organization, identifying opportunities to align their business needs with VivSoft’s world class technology capabilities. Additionally, you will work with internal VivSoft teams to drive business development activities to grow new and existing accounts.
This position is focused on further growing our existing Air Force/Software Factories portfolio and expanding into new areas of Air Force and/or DoD.
Business Development:- Actively play the role of a customer success for current projects within San Antonio
- Grow the opportunity pipeline through identification and qualification of new business opportunities organically or non-organically aligning with VivSoft’s strategic priorities and capabilities
- Candidate will assist with capture efforts across the federal marketplace. This includes identifying new opportunities and maintain current work, assist with capture research, build an effective capture capability across the environment and work thru transition from capture to proposal
- Develop, manage, and maintain relationships within client organizations to identify potential opportunities
- Participate in proposal writing and lead the team through the proposal development phases. Ability to participate in technical challenges, ideate solutions and lead teams through orals
- Participate in business planning activities to include pipeline and gate reviews; as well as proposal reviews
- Oversee major capture activities from inception to win by leading senior-level engagement with end customers, primes, and partners in collaboration with VivSoft leadership
Leadership:- The ability to gain internal support, operate independently, and establish solid working relationships with senior leadership, peers, and staff
- Be present in the market and a representative senior leader of our firm. Use your knowledge of the industry to position VivSoft’s point of view in a meaningful and strategic way

- Leverage current and emerging technologies and innovation tools and strategies to strengthen our level of engagement with our clients to promote growth and help us right size, optimize, and be ever more efficient and innovative in delivering solutions
- Work with clients and organizations to build strategic vision, approach to execute the vision and continued tracking in a short term and long-term mode. Ability to pivot and strategize on short notice depending on client needs and mission
- Ability to work closely with technical team and validate solution design, including assisting with planning the implementation timelines and communicating with stakeholders
- Work with team and stakeholders to identify and mitigate delivery risk in a timely manner.
- Oversee a strong communications plan to ensure team members and stakeholders stay in sync
- Exposure to various delivery methods including agile scrum, Kanban, traditional waterfall and hybrid approaches as needed
Technical Expertise:- Proven experience aligning business needs to technical capabilities and solutions to define digital modernization strategies
- Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and GCP
- Ability to create limited prototypes on occasions and conduct ideation sessions leading up to solution concept

- Direct work experience in federal business development or have a delivery background in this eco system either as a contractor or on the government side

- Experience in the business development lifecycle, including successful capture of federal government opportunities or willingness to learn and implement
- Understanding of cloud platforms, application development, data management solutions
- Demonstrated experience with the software development cycle
- Secret or TS Clearance
