About the Role

The Software Engineering Internship at Voltus offers a dynamic and hands-on experience of the energy tech industry. This role is designed for a bright and passionate individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and work alongside industry professionals in the fast-paced and complex world of Demand Response.

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of new software features.
• Participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting for assigned projects.
• Engage in code reviews and write documentation for developed features.
• Complete capstone project tailored to learning new engineering skills.

• Opportunity to work on real-world projects and make tangible contributions to the energy transition.
• Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies.
• Acquire skills in coding, debugging, and project management.
• Exposure to a professional engineering environment and remote work culture.
• Mentorship from experienced engineers.

• Demonstrated interest in energy markets, demand response, the energy grid, or climate solutions.
• Ability to develop software, as demonstrated by coursework, professional experience, or skills testing.
• Strong self-starter able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work remotely.
• Eligible to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship.
