Senior Data Engineer (Ad networks)

Team

The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the impressive growth of their gaming and consumer apps which allow Voodoo to stay at the forefront of the mobile industry. 

Within the Data team, you’ll join the Ad-Network Team which is an autonomous squad of around 20 people.  The team is composed of top-tier software engineers, infrastructure engineers, data engineers, mobile engineers, and data scientists (among which 3 kaggle Masters). The goal of this team is to provide a way for Voodoo to monetize our inventory directly with advertising partners, and relies on advanced technological solutions to optimize advertising in a real-time bidding environment. It is a strategic topic with significant impact on the business.

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines to align with ever-evolving business needs, ensuring optimal architecture support.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to develop the core data engineering tools that support our machine learning.
• Take ownership of projects from initial discussions to release, including feature estimation & scoping, architecture design, and benchmarking of new technologies
• Contribute to the development of backend applications for ML model serving
• Work closely with infrastructure teams to optimize our use of cloud technologies
• Work in a very agile environment with a fast decision process, having the opportunity to collaborate directly with people working on back-end development, data science, mobile games, broad audience mobile apps, product & marketing

• Python ⧫ Amazon Web Services ⧫ Kubernetes ⧫ DBT ⧫ Airflow ⧫ Terraform

• 5/6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or another similar role
• Deep understanding of data warehouse design and optimization
• Familiarity with scalability, reliability, and security topics
• Extensive experience with Python, ideally for both backend and ETL applications
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Understanding of the challenges involved in running ML models in production (familiar with topics such as feature store, training-serving skew, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, you can speak & write English
