About the Role
The Adventures Coordinator supports the Adventure Director in managing Outdoor and Leadership Adventures courses in Colorado. This role oversees event planning, staff development, and program execution to ensure safe, effective, and transformational learning experiences for students.
Note: This position requires travel to various locations across Colorado on designated Fridays to observe program groups. Travel will include areas from Fort Collins to Pueblo, as well as a location in Durango. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
Essential Duties
Program Administration and Optimization
•Live Williamsburg’s Core Values, inspire others and foster a strong, authentic team culture.
•Oversee and manage all aspects of Adventures in Colorado, including budget management, timecard approval, and safety/program compliance.
•Promote and grow Adventures programs, expanding attendance and reach for future families.
Outdoor & Leadership Adventures Program Support
•Implement systems and guidelines to ensure Outdoor and Leadership Adventures are executed with excellence.
•Ensure safety protocols are followed, track incidents, monitor enrollment, and set up courses in Canvas.
•Visit Adventure groups on designated Fridays, interact with students, and serve as a substitute Guide when needed.
•Maintain a 24-hour response time to communications from staff, students, and parents.
•Oversee and support resolution of issues involving staff, students, or parents.
Staff Leadership and Development
•Hire, observe, and review Adventure Leads and Guides.
•Track team performance and ensure adequate staffing and coverage for each event.
•Manage professional development and train staff in transformational learning.
•Lead four L10 meetings per semester; attend weekly L10 and monthly PD meetings.
•Assist with job postings and updates to Adventure staff roles and descriptions.
Program Improvement
•Gather feedback from students, parents, and staff.
•Recommend and implement improvements to enhance program quality and experience.
