SUMMARY 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fun, supportive and high-functioning legal team near the start of our growth curve as we expand our legal team in the U.S. We’re seeking an experienced Professional Services Commercial Counsel to join our in-house legal team. This role will focus on negotiating and drafting complex professional services agreements with our enterprise customers while balancing legal risk management with business priorities. This job is for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment where change is the status quo. You should be dedicated to providing outstanding legal service, coordinating and working closely with other teams to close contracts, paying close attention to detail, and bringing sound and balanced legal and business judgment and constructive people skills to everything you do. You should have a keen interest in learning about Wiz and what we do. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Draft, review, and negotiate professional services agreements, statements of work, and related documents with customers and partners 
  • Create and maintain standardized templates for professional services agreements and related documents to improve efficiency and consistency 
  • Collaborate with the Commercial GTM, Product, and Services teams to support the development and launch of new service offerings 
  • Provide legal guidance on new offerings, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company policies 
  • Advise internal teams on legal risks and provide practical solutions to support business objectives 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Professional Services, Finance, and Procurement 
  • Provide guidance on service-related terms such as scope definition, deliverables, and IP ownership 
  • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices affecting professional services engagements 
  • Triage a heavy workflow, setting appropriate priorities with internal clients and delivering results efficiently 
  • Manage agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • 6+ years of in-house experience is required, technology company experience is preferred (law firm experience, partnered with in-house experience will also be considered) 
  • Knowledge of Professional Services and experienced handling and dealing with Professional Services related questions when negotiating agreements is required 
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with a demonstrated record of success as a lawyer 
  • Strong “business-friendly” style that comes with an understanding that the legal team’s primary purpose is to support the growth and success of the business 
  • Ability to structure, draft and negotiate a high volume and broad range of contracts, including SAAS contracts, professional services agreement, partner agreements and NDAs 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to advocate for a position while maintaining a collaborative and open-minded approach 
  • Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team 
  • Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems

Compensation 

Starting compensation will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's job-related experience, skills and geographic location. Your Talent Partner can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. 

This role is eligible to participate in Wiz’s equity plan and may also include incentive compensation. 

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is listed below.

$207,000$285,000 USD
