WORKPLACE 

This role is based in Germany, with a preference for candidates located in Cologne who can work in-office at least two days per week. Remote candidates will also be considered, provided they are within Central European Standard Time (CET).

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are seeking a skilled and proactive EU Operations Specialist to oversee and optimize operations across our third-party manufacturing and logistics partners. This critical role ensures seamless supply chain execution, from production to final delivery, while maintaining high standards of quality, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 

As the Operations Specialist, you will serve as the primary liaison between our internal teams and external contract manufacturing and 3PL partners. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, analyzing performance metrics, implementing process improvements, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with our partners. Your ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and scalability for our business. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

1. Co-manufacturing Management: 

  • Submit and manage purchase orders (POs), including ensuring label adjustments and documentation are accurate and timely. 
  • Oversee and liaise production timelines between the external manufacturing partners and the internal supply planning team. 
  • Support our internal Quality Management team to ensure that we have all required documentation from our manufacturing and lab testing partners. 
  • Be the main point of contact for day-to-day partner operations.  

 

2. Amazon FBA Shipments: 

  • Oversee the submission of FBA shipments and monitor progress until successfully booked into Amazon inventory. 

 

3. Logistics Management: 

  • Coordinate all incoming POs and partial shipments by managing quantities, ensuring accurate documentation, and verifying quality through photos and records. 
  • Review orders daily to proactively identify issues in our fulfillment network that could affect the customer experience. 
  • Manage our logistics and DTC fulfillment provider, ensuring everything runs smoothly and seamlessly, and that invoices are accurately issued. You will review and oversee this process.  
     

4. Customer Order Support: 

  • Collaborate with and support the customer service team specifically as it pertains to order related issues with a collective goal of providing seamless and customer-focused resolutions when issues arise. 

 

5. Cross-Functional Reporting: 

  • Act as the operations liaison between departments, such as Customer Service, Marketing, and Inventory Management, to ensure alignment on inventory levels, discounts, and operational updates. 
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or a similar people-focused problem-solving role. 
  • Prior experience in e-commerce and/or CPG consumables brands is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience managing contract manufacturing and 3rd party logistics partners. 
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment by effectively handling reactive. issues while building proactive processes to minimize future disruptions. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working directly with vendors and logistics partners. 
  • Excellent written communication skills with a focus on clarity in email correspondence in both English and German. 
  • Basic proficiency in Excel (formulas, data entry, analysis) with some analytical skills preferred. 
  • Highly organized with attention to detail. 
  • Problem-solver who enjoys tackling challenges head-on. 
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks. 
  • Collaborative and cross-functional thinker who enjoys working with diverse teams.

The annual base salary range for this position is € $60,000- € 72,000/year. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to: location, education, skills, training, and experience.
